Shark APEX AZ1002 Upright Vacuum Cleaner
The Shark APEX AZ1002 is an excellent, well rounded vacuum. It is the predecessor to the Shark Vertex, one of the best Shark vacuum models we have tested. Specs on the APEX aren't far off from the Shark Vertex model, and it had many of the same features.
The APEX AZ1002 is one of Shark's corded models which includes DuoClean, a self-cleaning brushroll and Lift-Away. Lift-Away is Shark's way of saying the canister can detach from the vacuum allowing it to be used like a canister vacuum for cleaning stairs, hard to reach areas or even as a car vacuum.
One important thing to note is that there is are two types of Lift-Away – powered and non-powered. The AZ1002 features powered Lift-Away which allows powered attachments for deeper cleaning.
Pet owners will love Shark's powered Pet Brush, and additional attachments include a crevice tool and an under-appliance wand, too. At its current current price-point the APEX AZ1002 is a worthy competitor and worth thoughtful consideration.
