The Dyson V8 cordless stick vacuum line is the one that really put Dyson on the map. Previous models were relatively good, but the V8 line showed that a batter-powered, cord free stick vacuum future was coming.
We noted in our review of the Dyson V8 that while the V8 Absolute (and other Dyson V8 models) are being sold, they are quite old as far as technology is concerned. And, unfortunately, often overpriced for their performance.
The vacuum motor, assembly and battery are the same between all Dyson V8 models. The difference is the cleaning heads (which have different brush rolls) and accessories different model ship with. Among the variants of the V8, the V8 Absolute is the premium model, and comes with the most accessories.
