What is the Roborock S4 Max
Introduced in September of 2021, the Roborock S4 Max is the successor to the original Roborock S4 robot which was a highly competent, very well balanced robot vacuum. The S4 Max took what worked with the original and improved upon it.
The S4 Max improved upon its predecessor in five significant ways:
- The S4 Max includes Carpet Boost, allowing it to automatically increase suction when the robot determines it is on a carpeted surface.
- Multiple floor map support was increased from three to four maps.
- With the S4 Max, Roborock increased the dustbin by 40mL to 460mL.
- Scheduling functionality was a major improvement, including time-of-day scheduling as well as being able to schedule cleaning by room name.
- When navigating or cleaning, the Roborock S4 Max now has improved climbing ability when moving from room-to-room or when climbing uneven surfaces.
